Our team is focused on proper data management, FAIR data handling, and implementation of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) into the research processes in the Czech Republic. EOSC is a European initiative to develop an infrastructure supporting Open Science practices of research data.

We are the team of methodologists, technicians, lawyers and managers, and we use our knowledge for the research domain communities all over the Czech Republic and we test our approach towards Open Sciecne on our alma mater, Masaryk University (MU as a test-bed principle).

What We Do & Our Expertise

  • Use and transfer knowledge of concepts of FAIR data and EOSC within the international and national context
  • Actively participate in European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) implementation in the Czech Republic (leaders of several Czech EOSC Task Forces) and development of a portfolio of services and tools for the future National Data Infrastructure (NDI)
  • Provide expertise in Persistent Identifiers (PID) handling and Data Management Plan (DMP) tools (Data Stewardship Wizard)
  • Provide expertise in sensitive data handling (Sensitive Cloud)

Mgr. Ing. Jiří Marek

Open Science Manager

Jiří is an Open Science manager for CERIT-SC and Masaryk University and is responsible for development of EOSC implementation at the national level. He is also member of a working group of the Research, Development and Innovation Council to establish a national FAIR data strategy, and he manages the Open Science group in CZARMA (Czech Association of Research Managers and Administrators).

Michal is a FAIR data specialist for CERIT-SC and Masaryk University, and the leader of working group core services for implementation of European Open Science Cloud (EOSC). His main research focus is on the handling of personal sensitive data.

Michaela is an Open Science methodologist for European Open Science Cloud (EOSC). She is an ORION grant-awarded scientist with a background in biochemistry and biomedical sciences. Now she focuses on the development and implementation of EOSC at the national level.
